The curved groove takes the place of the external handle and can be either matching or contrasting with the door colours. In this way it becomes either a simple structural accessory for opening doors or a main aesthetic element that characterises the entire composition.

The groove in a kitchen becomes a real furnishing element when you decide to use colours that contrast with the door finish. By opting therefore for a darker colour, the groove becomes the true guide of the kitchen, marking out its modules and giving it an orderly and decisive character. The available finishes for the groove are: metallic, matt lacquered, metal or glossy, clay, cement, oak essence or stream.

What to know when designing a kitchen with a curved groove

When opting for a kitchen with a curved groove, there is important design information to be taken into account. The curved groove profile creates a space just below the worktop that allows you to slip your fingers in to open the kitchen doors.

The curved groove increases the width of the tall unit area by 3 cm per groove. Make sure you count one groove for every two doors to allow them to open and count them all when you check the final wall measurements.

MELAMINE OR LAMINATE DOOR WITH 4 ABS EDGES – Class E1 wood fibre door panel coated with barrier-coated melamine or laminate in matt, glossy, silk, wall, stone, wood, metallic finishes. Matching ABS edging. Door panel 22 mm thick.
The grip profile can be in white, brushed silver, black anodised, bronze or matt, glossy or metal lacquered finish.
Upon request, it can also be covered with high-quality oak finish, or lacquered with stream, clay or natural cement finish.
The GI30 modularity has the grip profile placed under the first drawer instead of under the top. The bottom door can be customised with a profile for easy opening.
